I THINK I'VE HEARD THAT SONG BEFORE
If you listened to rock ‘n’ roll music in the 1950s, rock music in the 1960s or folk music in the 1960s, you may well have heard a large number of songs that had previously been recorded by other performers, in some cases many years before in completely different genres. This course will examine some of those songs, often comparing two or more different versions, along with some later cover versions of songs you heard back then. Performers whose work will be featured include Elvis Presley, Fats Domino, Jerry Lee Lewis, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton and Hank Williams.
